Quick disconnect feature that allows quick BOP nipple up/nipple down.
Rotatable mandrel casing hangers that make getting casing to bottom easier and accept back pressure valves.
Lock ring design that eliminates external lock screws and potential safety issues, additional leak paths and personnel interventions.
Compact, lower profile design that promotes safe handling during drilling operations.
Mandrel casing hangers and packoffs with positive lock down (contingency casing slips are available).
Compatibility with offline cementing during pad drilling operations.
Ability to install through risers.

SafeDrill® MBU-3T CRC

BENEFITS

The Cactus™ Riser Connector enables Stab-on engagement of both drilling connectors and the MBU-3T SafeDrill^® upper housing.
CRC drilling adapters can be used throughout the BOP stack to simplify BOP manipulation on multiwell pads.
MBU-3T SafeDrill^® upper housing removes an entire BOP nipple up and nipple down sequence.
Threaded Quick Connect hub top on MBU-3T upper housing allows for rapid nipple up and nipple down of the BOP stack and temporary abandonment caps.
Rotating mandrel hangers throughout ensure that the casing strings can be landed regardless of downhole obstructions.
Externally tested seals verify barriers to environment are secure before BOP is nippled down.
All equipment, including CRC starter head, is set safely from the rig floor.
Lock ring retention of seal packoffs eliminates potential lock screw leak paths.
No welding or hot work required.
CRC and BOP Quick Connect dramatically reduce time spent in the cellar vs equivalent API flanged connections.
